Rancia is the best vineyard from the quality estate that is Felsina, to the north-east of Siena in the south of the Classico zone. This is Chianti Classico of the finest quality.

Vigneto Rancia is a 6-hectare vineyard with a good south-facing exposure at an altitude of about 400 metres above sea level.

Tasting Notes
Brilliant rich ruby red colour in the glass. Spicy nose with notes of flowers and wild berries. Spicyness continues in the mouth with wonderfully warm enveloping red fruit. A dense and well structured wine with a lengthy finish.

Winemaking Notes
100% Sangiovese grapes harvested by hand. Fermentation at 28-30C including daily punchdowns of the cap, followed by 12-15 days' maceration. 12-18 months' maturation in small-medium oak casks followed by 6-10 months' ageing in bottle prior to release.
