Gorgeous fresh and complex wine from the southern shores of beautiful Lake Garda.
This is a flagship wine which has made the winery's reputation. Here, the chalky clay soils of the Ca' dei Frati estate produce good quality fruit on 10-35 year-old vines and give this special Trebbiano di Lugana a unique elegance and structure.
To try a single bottle of an alternative Lugana wine, see Lugana Cento Filari here.
Tasting Notes
The nose is clean, delicate and fragrant, with perfumes of fresh white flowers and nettles, apricots and almonds. An attractive acidity gives it an elegant finish and makes it particularly easy to drink.
Matching
A perfect match for cold starters, vegetable soups and steamed or grilled fish.
Winemaking Notes
Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Malolactic fermentation: 80%. Wine remains sur lie in stainless steel for 6 months followed by two months bottle ageing before release to market.
