2007 Ponte Pietra Merlot/Corvina SCREWCAP

NZ winemaker Matt Thomson advises this large co-operative winery, based in the town of Monteforte d'Alpone to the east of Verona in the north of Italy.

The results are wines very much in the modern easy-going style. Amordivino has selected the Merlot/Corvina blend precisely for that reason.

Sealed under screwcap, this nice soft red is part of the Ponte Pietra range and makes an ideal barbecue or picnic wine.
