2006 Val d'Isera Marzemino Superiore DOC

Lovely richly-flavoured red from the Dolomites. The Marzemino grape is only found in this northern mountainous area of Italy.

"The excellent Marzemino", Mozart had Don Juan singing in the fourth act, thus immortalizing the name of Vallagarina's most exclusive wine, a reminder of where he held his first Italian concert on 25th December 1769.

The gentle Marzemino, an indigenous grape varietal, has found an ideal terrain in the southernmost parts of Trentino.

Tasting Notes
Bright ruby red; the dominant characteristics are its berry-fruited qualities and flowery notes (violets); dry, flavourful and well-balanced.
