Tasting Notes
Very deep in colour with red fruit aromas and hints of vanilla. On the palate, rich with an excellent structure and tannins well balanced and soft.

Winemaking Notes
100% Prugnolo Gentile.
The grapes from the vineyard ‘Santa Pia’ in the Montepulciano district were destemmed and crushed and maceration took place over a period of 20 days during which time the wine also completed its alcoholic fermentation at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. The wine was then racked and has completed its malolactic fermentation in French and Hungarian barrique. After this the wine aged for a period of 15 months in barrique, during this time the wine was racked several times. 'Santa Pia' was then bottled and further aged for 12 months.
