Award winning wine:
3* Veronelli 2007

2 Glasses, Gambero Rosso 2007

This is the estate's historic wine and is highly representative of the qualities of Carmignano. DOC status was re-obtained in 1975 after significant quality improvements and DOCG status followed in the 1990s.

Tasting Notes
Good depth of colour with a restarined elegant nose; perfumes of dark cherry and liquorice give way to spices and plums on the palate. Nicely rounded tannins from the Sangiovese are lifted by the cassis concentration of the Cabernet Sauvignon and melt into a long fragrant finish.

Winemaking Notes
Grape varieties: Sangiovese 80%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 25 days at controlled temperatures of 18-25C. Wine aged for 14 months in 3.5 hectolitre tonneaux followed by 6 months in bottle prior to release to market.
