2* Veronelli 2008

1 Glass, Gambero Rosso 2008

This wine is the young version of Carmignano, made with the same grapes (Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon) and the addition of Canaiolo.

It is named after the historic Medici Royal property known as the Barco Reale, enclosed by a boundary wall which was over 30 miles in length.

Tasting Notes
Purplish dark and deep red colour with ruby red shades. Sweet, ample, elegant nose - very intense and fruity with light tones of oak. Soft and voluminous on the palate, with gentle tannins of medium density in good balance with the acidity. Fruity and longlasting finish.

Matching
Recommended with most pasta dishes and first courses in general and also with white and lighter red meats.
