2006 Vermentino di Gallura DOC Monteoro

Lovely personality and balance for this classic Sardinian wine.

From the hills on the southern side of Monte Limbara in the noted Gallura zone in the north of the island. Lovely freshness in the first year, elegant in its maturity.

Tasting Notes
Light straw yellow; complex bouquet with hint of apple, honey and berry fruits; fruity and mellow on the palate.

Food Matching
Mediterranean seafood, white meat and fresh cheese.

Winemaking Notes
Grapes harvested at the end of September when fully ripe, so full of sugars and aromas. Soft crushing immediately on picking. Brief cold maceration takes place before pressing. The clarified must is then fermented slowly at 15ºC.
