2006 Nova Serra Greco di Tufo DOCG

The family has well deserved its recognition for the rescue and relaunch of the ancient Greco vine, which was close to extinction until recent decades, and also the delineation of its growing area and its single-variety vinification.

Made after a rigorous grape selection, Novaserra has become a classic with an unprecedented organoleptic complexity. Recognised by the award of the maximum Tre Bicchieri by the most prestigious Italian wine guide, Gambero Rosso.

The label features detail from a painting by De Rosa, which can be found in the winery's cellars.

Tasting Notes
Intense straw yellow colour. Prominent apricot, pear, peach, almond, apple fruit bouquet with notes of vegetal cut hay and fern. Palate noteworthy for its excellent acidity and smoothness, to a characteristic background of bitter almond. Serving temperature 10-12°C.

Ideal for seafood and fish dishes of all complexities.

Winemaking Notes
Fermentation and 3-4 months' ageing in barriques.
