Award winning wine:
1 Glass, Gambero Rosso 2008

Younger brother of the great king of Tuscan wines, the mighty Brunello, this full-bodied red drinks well much sooner. From a classic Brunello producer.

Tasting Notes
Ruby red with garnet hints; velvety, smooth, dry taste.

Matching
Game, grilled red meat and mature cheeses.

Winemaking Notes
The making of this excellent wine starts from the constant pruning of the vines, which guarantees a high quality product even in less favourable years. The grapes are carefully selected by hand during the harvest. The winemaking happens at controlled temperatures. Rosso di Montalcino has a maturing process of 18 months rather than the 4-year minimum of Brunello. When bottled, the wine is further refined for a few months.
