2004 Merlot Baolar Cru XI

Elegant yet easy, smooth yet rich: an important Merlot from a master craftsman of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, close to the NE Italian border with Slovenia. This is a wonderful wine from a special winemaker.

Ruby red; flowery perfume; taste of blackberries.

Roasts; pasta with ragout sauces; medium cheese.

Winemaking Notes
Fermentation and maceration for 13-16 days at a temperature of 25-28ºC; aged in barriques for 18 months; malolactic fermentation totally completed. A wine which improves over time.
