2006 Modello Rosato delle Venezie IGT

This refreshing pink wine comes from one of the most famous Italian producers and shows their customary class.

Tasting Notes
This wine has a brilliant pink colour with some purple reflections. Its bouquet offers intense aromas of strawberry and raspberry, and is softened by a scent of banana. On the palate it shows the fresh acidity of unripe cherries, berry fruit selection, apple and lemon. The wine has a good body with a delicate and persistent finish. Serve chilled.

Matching
Thanks to its modern and youthful style, this wine is excellent as an aperitif or with antipasti such as light pasta dishes, perhaps seafood.

Winemaking Notes
Use of selected indigenous grapes from the Veneto region: 50% Corvina, 20% Molinara, 15% Rondinella, 15% Dindarella. A very brief period of skin contact (24-36 hours) with the grapes to give a delicate pink colour, followed by a very soft pressing. the must then ferments for about 15-20 days in stainless steel tanks of 200 hectolitres at a controlled temperature (18-20 degrees Centigrade).

The wine then rests for 2-3 months in stainless steel tanks where it undergoes a partial malolactic fermentation and is then bottled, where it ages for a further 2 months.
