Saten is Franciacorta! This name, which can only be used in Franciacorta, is in some way the symbol of the sparkling wine revolution promoted by the wine-makers of this area. Taken from the French "Cremant" it has introduced some of the criteria of this disused appellation.

The basic characteristics of this Franciacorta wine come from the grapes used, only Chardonnay, from the "Brut" typology, and from the addition of slightly less carbon dioxide to the bottle than in other types. These basic elements, which all the wine-makers follow, give the final product particular characteristics.

Tasting Notes
Elegant, round, silky, of great subtlety. The Saten made by Villa develops delicate and fragrant aromatic notes that make for a charming and enveloping tasting. To the palate, the fascinating, mellow tones crisscross with soave sensations, they assault and skim over the papillae in a play of enrapturing delights.

Food Matching
Excellent with special first courses and delicate fish.

Winemaking Notes
A rather early harvest enables us to obtain a product with the right alcoholic strength, keeping the floral and fruity aromas at their best.
Soft-pressing of the whole grape with pneumatic presses. Natural cold sedimentation. Fermentation at controlled temperatures (16°-18°C).
Partial ageing in prized wood. Gentle re-fermentation in the bottle with selected yeasts and subsequent refining for a minimum period of 30 months in underground cellars at a constant temperature of between 12° and 14°C.
