2008 Nebbiolo Langhe DOC

A very impressive young red wine from the Nebbiolo grape variety. This well-respected co-operative winery produces some of the finest Barbaresco wines available in Piemonte.

This young red is also made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes and shows fantastic flavour and surprisingly well-balanced tannins at this age. A beauty.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red in colour. Sweet scents of ripe red fruits with some blackberry notes. Vibrant fruits of the forest on the palate with cedarwood. Long finish with nice tannins, not as gripping as expected, lovely aftertaste. Superb.

Roasted red meats, game, stews.

Winemaking Notes
Grapes harvested from younger vines and the fruit not selected for the Barbaresco wines. Vinified in large oak botti.
