This white wine from the Emilia Romagna region is made from an unusual grape variety called Albana.

In 1987 it became the first white wine to be awarded the top DOCG classification in Italy, before the more famous wines Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Gavi di Gavi.

Tasting Notes
Very pale in colour in the glass. Delicate perfume of apricots. Dry and crisp on the palate with well-balanced acidity. Light and refreshing. Serve chilled at 10-12C.

Matching
Great as an aperitif and also with white pasta dishes, especially the local tortolloni.

Winemaking Notes
Fermentation in temperature-controlled steel vats at 18C. 3 months' maturation in steel before bottling.
