This is a delicious, light white wine from hills overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Ideal with those light fish dinners now comprising so much of your diet!
The Bianchello grape, a sub-variety of Greco, is found only in the Marche region on the eastern coast of Italy and this wine comes from the hillsides of the Metauro river valley.
Tasting Notes
Straw yellow wine with slight green reflections, limpid and crystalline; the perfume is delicate and persistent, with light notes of slightly immature golden apples, lime flowers and hawthorns; a dry wine, pleasurably savoury and fresh, harmoniously balanced with enjoyable bitter notes of almonds in finishing.
Matching
Excellent through the entire meal, with fish and white meat. An excellent aperitif.
Winemaking Notes
Slow gentle control of the pneumatic press with an axial membrane respects the integrity of the grapes, consequently enhancing the organoleptic properties of the wine. Vinification in white, after cold static decantation and thermo-controlled fermentation at 18-20°C for ten days.
Back Label Translation
Nothing is born by accident in the sweet and lovely Valley of Metauro, soaked in ancient times of men and history. On its curvaceous hills, which go down towards the sea, our white lines of grapes are born, direct clone of the Greek vine. It is the Bianchello del Metauro, vinificated in purity, with a greenish yellow colour, a delicate nose with tones of fruit and field flowers. Neat and fresh taste, slightly bitter. Ideal for the whole meal, excellent with fish and white meat. Serve cool at 10°C.
