An important, elegant wine from Piemonte. This organically-produced Barberesco is running into its prime. The vineyard called Campo Quadro is up on a hill at an altitude of about 400 metres.
Tasting Notes
Floral aromas of violet and rose; the colour is deep garnet red with a touch of brick at the edges. Usually tannic when young, Barbaresco loses some of its tannicity as it ages in bottle; the taste is full, rich, round and elegant, with a little spice.
Matching
Important second courses, meat based: braised meat, game.
