2008 Contado Aglianico Riserva DOC

Lovely rich red from this small region on the Adriatic.

The Phoenicians brought the Aglianico grape to Italy from Greece many centuries before Christ was born. Now it's used to make some of the best wines in the south of Italy.

Tasting Notes
The wine has a ruby red colour with a slight hint of orange; an intense bouquet with notes of ripe red fruits. Mellow and velvety in the mouth, it is very harmonious, full-bodied and with just the right tannic content and hints of almonds.
