Award winning wine:

3* Veronelli 2012
Superb Vino Nobile from this prestigious winery.
2007 was a very good vintage in Tuscany generally. This riserva wine is made from a selection of grapes from the best vineyards at Le Capezzine at Argiano at an altitude of around 300 metres. The soils are a mixture of clay and limestone.
Tasting Notes
Garnet red in colour with an intense bouquet showing a hint of violets. Dry and robust yet delicately long-lasting on the palate.
Matching
Roast and grilled red meats; game; mature cheeses.
Winemaking Notes
Grapes: 85% Prugnolo Gentile, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Harvested by hand in late-October, the grapes are vinified on their skins. Maceration takes 4 weeks at low temperature. Ageing takes place in 30-month old French barriques.
