A lovely smooth and elegant red wine made from an indigenous Sardinian grape variety, Carignano.
Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red colour; strong fruity scent with delicate violet notes on the nose followed by attractive, violet fruit. Delicately made. An elegant wine, with good body in the mouth.

Best matched with rich first courses and tasty seconds based on meat: light game, turkey, pheasant.
Winemaking Notes
Harvesting of Carignano grapes starts in the second half of September and ends in early October. Fermentation in contact with the skins at a temperature of 25-30°C. It is regularly pumped up to favour the transfer to the must of the compounds present in the pomace. Malolactic fermentation imparts a distinctive mellowness to this wine, which is then matured for several months in vats before bottling.
