2006 Taurasi DOCG Radici

Classic and delicious Taurasi from the famous Mastroberardino winery.

Tasting Notes
Deep red ruby colour. Full, complex, intense bouquet redolent of violet and berries. In the mouth it is enveloping, elegant, and persistent. The background has distinct notes of plum, bitter cherry, strawberry jam, black pepper.

Matching
A fine accompaniment to roast meats and larger game (deer, wild boar, etc.), spiced dishes or truffle, and mature cheese.

Winemaking Notes
Grapes harvested late October for optimum ripeness. Matured two years in a mixture of 40-hectolitre oak barrels and barriques. After bottling, aged a further 12 months prior to release.
