2009 Pinot Bianco Aquileia DOC

Lovely flavourful white wine from the historic winemaking zone of Aquileia, in the south of Friuli overlooking the Adriatic.

The Pinot Bianco grape produces its best wines both here in Friuli and higher up in the mountains of the Dolomites.

This superb wine was awarded the maximum 3 Glasses by Italy's major wine guide published by Gambero Rosso.

Tasting Notes
A fine, bright and luminous straw-yellow colour; a bouquet with marked fresh fruit and nutty notes. Dry yet delicately fruity in the mouth, with a clean, attractively long finish.
 
Matching 
An excellent aperitif, it can also provide a refined and elegant accompaniment to an entire meal. Particularly recommended with non-meat appetizers, pasta and rice dishes with delicately flavoured sauces, fish or white meats.

Winemaking Notes
The hand-picked grapes undergo soft pressing in horizontal presses. Temperature controlled fermentation is followed by long maturation on the wine’s own natural lees until it achieves perfect balance.
