The Best Chocolate in the World is Italian
The chocolate Chuao Amedei is the best in the world. So decided the London Chocolate Academy – a great result for a small company from Pisa, Italy.
“Notes of plum, red fruits and black cherry jam, smooth taste, wrapping and very long aftertaste”…It is not a fine red wine, but the organoleptic profile of a dark chocolate bar, obtained from cocoa grown in the Venezuelan plantation of Chuao, whose production belongs to the Italian company Amedei from La Rotta, in the Pisa province.
The quality of this exclusive chocolate so impressed the jury of the prestigious London Chocolate Academy, that on November 2nd they judged it to be the best chocolate in the world “for the fruity taste and its unique character. When you put it in your mouth it melts in the most seductive way”.
The plantation of Chuao can be considered a proper cru, located in the heart of Venezuela. The name “Chuao” is part of the myth of Mayan chocolate, the taste of paradise on earth where the Gods’ food is brown. The Amedei company uses only the rarest varieties of cocoa.
