Aglianico
Ancient noble red grape of the Campania region of Italy, from which sturdy red wines are made. Believed to have been brought over to Italy from Greece, its name derives from the Latin ellenico or Hellenic. Another theory states that it was originally a wild native vine that was domesticated by the Greeks.|
