Primitivo

Primitivo is a great grape for blending. It is strong, rich, spicy , similiar to Negroamaro. Primitivo grows well a flat peninsula in Puglia called Salento. It is thought to be an ancestor of the California Zinfandel grape.

Extremely popular among winemakers of soft, spicy, sun-baked reds produced in the Salentine peninsula.
