Muller-Thurgau
Early ripening cross variety, officially developed from Silvaner and Johannisberg Riesling, but some authorities now contend it was actually from two clonal varieties of Riesling. It is at its best high in the Trentino Alps.
Produces a flowery, yet acidic white wine that bears a modest resemblance to the parent Riesling wines.
