The Italian organisation Gambero Rosso, in conjunction with the Slow Food organisation, are publishers of the annual guidebook called "Vini d'Italia" or "Wines of Italy". This is the most comprehensive and esteemed review of Italian wines released in the previous 12 months. The top mark is called Tre Bicchieri, or Three Glasses, an award given usually to only about 250 of the very finest Italian wines. Although thousands of wines receive awards of One or Two Glasses, many thousands more are not deemed worthy of mention and so inclusion in this book is a coveted prize in itself.
The book is released in November but its English translation is not available until February of the following year (e.g. the 2006 edition was released November 2005 and its English edition in February 2006).
