This large co-operative winery is based in the town of Monteforte d'Alpone to the east of Verona in the north of Italy. NZ winemaker Matt Thomson advises the winery on the production from its 1200 hectares of vineyards. The results are wines very much in the modern easy-going style. Amordivino has selected the Merlot/Corvina blend precisely for that reason. Sealed under screwcap, it is one wine of the Ponte Pietra range which, throughout, shows good fruit and excellent value.
