Alpha Zeta

Alpha Zeta was established in 1999 and seeks to give a thoroughly modern expression of the local grape varieties. Renowned NZ winemaker Matt Thomson (pictured right) is working with two co-operatives in the hills to the north-east of Verona to produce a wide range of great value wines. The co-ops he works with farm about 1,900 hectares of vineyards around the village of Quinto di Valpantena in the Valpantena and the Monteforte d'Alpone valleys. This gives Matt great flexibility in the selection of grapes for his winemaking. Most of the range is sealed under screwcap and Amordivino has selected just a few of the wines which we feel meet the desired quality levels under this increasingly popular and convenient style of closure.
