Peter Dipoli

Peter Dipoli's estate was born in 1987 when the family bought 1.2 hectares of vineyard in Penon, a hamlet near the village of Cortaccia in Alto Adige. The vineyard was completely replanted with Sauvignon Blanc and in 1990, the first 1,637 bottles of Voglar were produced. In the following years, the estate was enlarged by buying a new vineyard named Iugum in the nearby village of Magré. In the beginning the grapes were vinified at a friend’s winery. A fundamental step was to buy an ancient, rural house in the village of Egna, which in 1998 was restored and became the estate winery. Peter Dipoli was born in Laives, in the province of Bolzano, in 1954, to a farming family. He studied viticulture at San Michele all’Adige High School, worked for 5 years at the Laimburg research facility, then went back to his father’s property with the aim of creating his own vineyard estate. Peter has founded a company for the distribution of fine wines in Trentino Alto Adige.
