D'Angelo
The brothers Donato and Lucio D'Angelo are the third generation of winemakers from this family to run the winery situated near the famous volcano of Mount Vulture, deep in the south of Italy. From 50 hectares of vineyards at around 500 metres above sea level, they employ these volcanic soils to produce wines of distinct character. Renowned American wine critic, Burton Anderson, called the brothers "the undisputed leaders in the Basilicata... with Aglianico that ranks with the finest reds of southern Italy".
